1,000,000 Hours of Captured Audio Signal Surpassed
Earlier this year, APL Systems reached a significant milestone surpassing 1,000,000 hours of captured audio signal, achieved across hundreds of completed and ongoing projects. The number consists of both online and offline long-term measurements, short-term measurements and acoustic condition monitoring projects that the company has performed in its history. Company’s Chairman of the Board, Timo Mämmelä, emphasizes the meaning of this achievement:
”To put it into perspective, 1,000,000 hours is equivalent to 114 years of continuous sound monitoring. Or, if you imagine spending your whole 8-hour workday listening to all of that data, it would require 125,000 days to listen every single hour. This milestone truly describes the trust our clients have placed in us over the years.”
A Year of Milestones
In addition to this remarkable achievement, the company is also celebrating its 20th anniversary later this year. The Chairman of the Board reflects on key moments in the company’s journey:
